The Lost Civilisation of Peru

Dating from the time of Christ, the Moche were one of the most fabulous and frightening of ancient South American civilisations. They created great buildings, beautiful art, and indulged in hideous human sacrifice. But after 650 years of glory, they apparently disappeared. Now, thanks to new research, this film reveals how the Moche died out through a catalogue of disasters. And out of this disaster, it seems the Moche may have spawned an even greater empire: the Incas.
