The Americans in the Bulge

A tour of the frozen Ardennes Forests to Malmedy, Saint Vith and Bastogne, which recalls the gallant actions of the US forces that foiled the Nazi plan to encircle and destroy the Allied armies in 1944. The programme includes vignettes of individual gallantry, illustrated though blended archival footage, re-enactments and special effects. It also features the frozen foxholes and fog shrouded hills where veterans of the campaign describe the conditions of winter war.
