Two thousand years ago, Teotihuacán was one of the largest cities in the world, not far from what is today Mexico City. But just a few hundred years later, it was completely abandoned, its former citizens leaving little trace of their culture. Despite many decades of research, little is known about the long-lost Teotihuacán society. Who built this city with its giant pyramids? Why did its people vanish without a trace?
