About the Show
Despite the attention paid to the US Navy SEALs (Sea, Air and Land) since successfully killing Osama bin Laden, few know the story of how the first US Navy frogmen became the renowned warriors of today. This documentary reveals details of their transformation and of the people who made it happen as the clandestine commandos developed assault techniques to counter threats from Hitler to bin Laden. The Navy's first special warfare units date back to World War II and, without them, much of US and world history would have been written differently, from the beaches of Normandy to the Pacific theatre and in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. Featuring first-hand accounts and never-before-seen footage, this documentary recalls many of their dangerous missions.
