About the Show
Photographer Spencer Tunick travels the United States in search of volunteers to pose nude for his outlaw photoshoots, all of them conducted in public and often without legal permits. This documentary chronicles Tunick's logistic nightmares and his brushes with the law, as well as revealing the personal reasons why the free-spirited volunteers discarded their inhibitions for his artistic vision. In a programme both humorous and provocative, Tunick exposes America's attitude towards nudity, sexuality and body image. He travels to all 50 states and asks ordinary people of different races, shapes and sizes to take off their clothes and pose in public for the sake of art.
