Memory of the Camps

About the Show

FRONTLINE: A haunting documentary record of Nazi concentration camps, where more than eleven million people - six million of them Jews - perished. For forty years, this film, shot by British and American Army cameramen as Allied forces liberated the camps, sat unfinished in a vault of the Imperial War Museum in London. This finished film was directed in part by Alfred Hitchcock and, since its original broadcast in 1985, it has become one of the definitive records of the 20th century's darkest hour.
