Lost King of the Maya

NOVA: For over 20 years, a team led by archaeologist Bill Fash has been at the forefront of research into the ancient Maya kings of Central America. In 1999, NOVA's cameras were there to capture Fash's excavation of the burial site of the legendary ancestral king and original founder of Copan's dynasty. It was a stunning find, deep in a crypt beneath a pyramid. The royal burial also provided evidence that the Maya's rule was militaristic and warlike.
