About the Show
This engaging series explores the world of dangerous jobs, this episode looking at the work of salvage divers. Few can appreciate what these highly trained divers go through because they work in an inaccessible and alien world, operating in the most inhospitable of conditions. The programme follows the operation to prevent an environmental disaster after the New Carissa, a 195-metre cargo vessel carrying 1.5 million litres of fuel oil, ran aground at Coos Bay on the Oregon coast in February 1999.
