Emperors of Antarctica

The emperor penguin's breeding cycle runs through the harsh and bitter Antarctic winter. Loyal male emperors endure vicious blizzards, sub-zero temperatures and a complete lack of food for weeks as they wait for their vulnerable eggs to hatch. The epic vigil is finally relieved when the female penguins return in early spring.
