Our Supply Chains

In relation to our broadcast output, our supply chain consists mainly of:

  • Programme distributors from which we acquire programming which has already been produced or is already in production. Most of these distributors are based in the UK, Europe and the US.

We also deal with suppliers in several other areas regarding the following:

  • Suppliers of services involved in scheduling and playing out our channels and developing and operating our digital services.
  • Suppliers of the equipment and technology we use in our offices, such as computers and printers.
  • Marketing and promotional services, such as producing promotional materials and purchasing advertising space.
  • Human resources, such as payroll and recruitment services.
  • Our office space, such as maintenance services.
  • Professional services, such as legal advice and accountancy services.

Our Approach

Modern slavery is a crime and a gross violation of fundamental human rights. It takes many forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking. At PBS UK LLC we have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and will not do business with any supplier that we suspect might engage in modern slavery. We are committed to having in place systems and controls designed to ensure that modern slavery does not take place in our business or in our supply chain.

We comply with all applicable laws in relation to recruiting and employing or engaging individuals to work for PBS UK LLC.

When engaging third party suppliers we identify where there may be a higher risk of modern slavery taking place. We do this mainly by assessing:

  • The territories in and from which the supplier will supply services to PBS UK LLC;
  • The industry in which the supplier operates.

Where appropriate we carry out due diligence on suppliers to gauge their approach to combatting modern slavery. We ensure that our contracts with higher risk suppliers include appropriate provisions prohibiting such suppliers from engaging in any form of modern slavery.

When considering investing in other companies we carry out due diligence in relation to their approach to modern slavery

We encourage all members of staff to be vigilant and to report any concerns regarding potential evidence of modern slavery.

Ongoing Review

PBS UK LLC is committed to a continual review of its processes and practices in relation to modern slavery and will update this Statement accordingly.

This Statement has been approved by the Board of PBS UK LLC
