Welcome to PBS America, the British television channel from America's Public Broadcasting Service, available on Freeview 84, Freesat 155, Virgin Media 187, Sky 174, and on-demand with Freeview Play  Amazon UK  and Amazon Fire TV app.

PBS is America's largest classroom, the United States' largest stage for the arts and valued window on the world. Loved for its quality output since 1969, PBS is a private, non-profit corporation funded by donations, which has been rated America's most trusted institution for more than 20 consecutive years.

Here in the UK, PBS America showcases all of PBS's best-loved and award-winning factual strands - including NOVA (science), FRONTLINE (current affairs) and AMERICAN EXPERIENCE (history) - alongside epic series from legendary storyteller Ken Burns including The Vietnam War, Jazz, The War, The West and the remastered The Civil War.

Run by a British team based in London, PBS America marries the best new shows with treasures hand-picked from PBS's extensive archive to offer British viewers a different view of America. Explore our schedule to discover what's on now.

Before joining PBS Richard worked on a number of special interest TV channels in the UK, including GOLD, UKTV Drama, Good Food and Yesterday. He has a particular soft spot for history dating back to his Oxford days and so running PBS America is particularly enjoyable.
